# Welcome to the NEW *(and hopefully improved)* Grace Kids E-mail!

These e-mails are specifically designed to keep every parent of kids in 5th grade and below informed on what's happening in children's ministry at Grace Church. The content here is often different than what you'll find in the church wide E-News and these updates get sent out less frequently (1-2 times a month).

If you do **not** want to receive these e-mails, simply reply to this e-mail and let me know. **DO NOT UNSUBSCRIBE** unless you do not want to receive *any* e-mails from Grace Church in the future.

Great news! You'll be able to access these e-mails directly from our new website this fall. Gone are the days of panicking as you frantically search through old e-mails wondering if you missed a registration deadline. The website will automatically update with every new e-mail that is sent!

## Children & Youth Info Meeting

**Aug 16 & 23 after Sunday Service in Room 204**

All parents of children in grades K-12 will meet upstairs in room 204 for a brief meeting about the upcoming school year. Teens are also welcome to attend! The meeting will have the same content on both Sundays, so attend whichever one is more convenient.

## Faith Explorers (Grades K-5)

**Starting September 16!**

Students in Grades K-5 dig deep into God's word, discovering their faith along the way.

**New this year:** Though parent supervision is needed, kids are always welcome to play in the gym 30 minutes before and after our programs.

## "Camping" Trip - Grades 3-5

**Oct 16, 6pm - Oct 17, 11am**

**What will we be doing?** We will have a fun night around the campfire and playing in the playground (gaga, 9-square, etc.) When it gets darker, we'll sing around the campfire and hear an encouraging testimony. Plus we *have* to make s'mores. The next morning we will have breakfast and play games at the camp until students are picked up.
**Where will we sleep?** We will sleep in the dorm (Beacon Hall) which has bunk beds and bathrooms within the same building.
**Where is drop off/pick up?** Students should be dropped off and picked up directly at the camp. Feel free to carpool or let me know if this is a hardship and I can try to help arrange transportation.
**Can my child go up late on Friday night or get picked up early?** YES! We will be at the camp the entire time, so feel free to drop off late or pick up early. Just let me know beforehand so that we can be prepared.
**How much does the FULL weekend cost?** The cost of the retreat is $5 per student, if you are able.
**Is there dinner on Friday night?** YES! We will be roasting hot dogs and other fun foods around the fire as kids arrive.
